QUESTION: For an extended fast, do you have any suggestions on "prep" to make it a bit easier the first couple of days when you really notice the hunger? I'm wondering if there are certain meals or foods to focus on before starting the fast.

I bought the Aldi sliced bread, both white and wheat. Straight out of the bag it tastes like those 35 calories a slice 'light' breads, too airy. Toasting was better and perfectly fine as a grilled cheese, instead of a hamburger bun it absorbed the juices of my burger well and it made a good sandwich only when toasted. I tried the Aldi low carb bagels and I wouldn't rebuy. Very poor toasted with cream cheese. I am happy with the sliced bread and at $3.50 a loaf its affordable, lasted in the fridge and didn't become petrified. The sliced bread, white or wheat are good options for my low carb eating. I'm not hardcore, but I haven't had any carb cravings either.

I was hoping for a cheese pull. But the crisp is a solid alternative. 🧀

Unfortunately they use natural flavors, which is MSG. And is a corn by product. 😢 Last time, and only time, I used their product I ended up in the ER for most of the night. Even my EpiPen did nothing to stop the swelling of my mouth and throat. I've complained often, and they haven't answered me back about changing the product.

ok, I tried these... easy to make. didn't have bun pan, but used 13 x 6 in pan. worked fine. overdid the rosemary, but was really good. will do these again and am ordering the bun pan... thx

I'm so very sorry for your loss. Thumper was a wonderful cat because you and your family were very kind and loving to him. 20yrs is a long time for a cat (I have a 17yr old cat myself). Know that when his time came you showed the greatest love by realizing it was time to let go. Putting a pet to sleep to avoid having them suffer is a luxury most humans won't have. Grief is a path we all must walk in life, its a process we must all go through. Your children are much better off having experienced the loss of pets and growing more resilient because of it. Thumper is teaching them that its ok to be sad, and that they will be happy again. You will all be happy again. When you are all ready, you will open your hearts again to another very lucky pet that will again fill your lives with joy because you are a joyful and loving family.

I use that spray. I find that if I run the spray tip under hot water it dissolves the buildup and once again sprays. It must be done every time I use it but it will spray. Blessings!😊

I bought Shirataki noodles and good God they stank like rotten seaweed and clams on the beach! The texture was like wet rubber bands and I couldn't swallow because it felt like something inedible. I researched how to soften them and its going to be soaking them in water with either baking soda (alkaline) or lemon juice (acid) to reduce the hard rubbery bounce. I haven't done the experiment yet BUT since you have so graciously tasted these noodles for us, I'll get the ones at Costco first. Thanks so much!!
